IM-Consulting · Transformation Sprint
Get your business ready for its next owner.
A practical, four-week sprint for owners whose business is below £1.2m EBITDA or outside construction and manufacturing. I am also a buyer of businesses, and I tell you so before we start.
Who the sprint is for
Owners with EBITDA below £1.2m, or outside services to construction and manufacturing, who want to be ready when the time to sell comes.
It is not offered to companies on IM-Capital's acquisition list or in active discussions with it.
What it includes
Four one-hour calls over about four weeks, and a written exit-readiness report covering:
- the exit routes open to you: trade sale, management buyout, search buyer, or family
- what buyers will test
- a prioritised list of readiness actions, such as owner dependency, reporting quality, customer concentration and a second management tier
What it does not include
No valuation, no multiple, no named buyer, and no recommendation to sell to IM-Capital.
Founding cohort
A small number of free pilot sprints in 2027, in return for written feedback and, if you are satisfied, a testimonial. Neither side is obliged to anything further.
Conflict policy
IM-Capital buys businesses and IM-Consulting works with owners. These rules keep the two apart.
- Disclosure first. Every owner is told at first contact that I am a prospective acquirer of businesses in the sector.
- No dual role in one company. IM-Consulting takes no work from a company that is, or is likely to become, an IM-Capital acquisition target. If a client later becomes a target, sprint work stops, you are told in writing, and you are encouraged to take independent advice.
- Information firewall. Nothing learned in a sprint is used to make or price an offer without your separate written consent.
- Size separation. IM-Consulting's default market is below £1.2m EBITDA or outside the primary sector. IM-Capital's market is the acquisition band.
- No price anchoring. No free IMC tool is ever used to shape a seller's price expectations for an IM-Capital offer.
The bolt-on acknowledgement
IM-Capital may in future seek to acquire businesses in the sectors where IM-Consulting works, including as add-on acquisitions. Before any sprint starts, you acknowledge this in writing. Nothing learned in a sprint is used to make or price an offer without your separate written consent, and you are encouraged to take independent advice before any sale discussion.
